The North Alabama Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. announces its annual 2008 Sickle Cell Disease Walk-a-Thon, Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Big Spring Park. The Walk-a-Thon begins at 9:00 a. m. with registration beginning at 7:30 a. m. This year’s theme is "Walk for the Cure." Again this year, trophies will be given to the Business, Organization, and Church, with the largest number of persons participating in the Walk-a-Thon. In addition to the Walk, there will be games, activities, entertainment, food and beverages for the entire family, including "Bounce About" inflatable’s for the kids. Please join us in helping to "Break the Sickle Cycle."
